Tackling Anti-Social Use of Off-Road Bikes and E-Scooters – Leavesden Country Park Area

Dear Resident

We are aware of ongoing concerns regarding the anti-social use of off-road vehicles and e-scooters in and around the Leavesden Country Park area.

We understand the disruption and safety risks this behaviour can cause, and we want to reassure you that this issue is being actively addressed.

Over the coming weeks, we will be implementing a coordinated approach to reduce this activity, focusing on prevention, enforcement, and community engagement. This will include:

Increased patrols: Both high-visibility and targeted patrols will take place at key times and locations identified as hotspots.

Use of intelligence and reporting: We are gathering information about repeat offenders and vehicles involved, allowing us to take more targeted action.

Enforcement action: Where offences are identified, we will use appropriate powers to seize vehicles being used illegally and take action against those responsible.

Partnership working: We are working closely with Local Authorities, Land Owners, and Partner Agencies to address access points and reduce opportunities for misuse.

Community engagement: We will continue to engage with residents to understand concerns and keep you updated on our progress.

We encourage residents to continue reporting incidents, as your information helps build the intelligence picture and supports enforcement action. Please report any incidents via the appropriate channels, including non-emergency reporting or 999 in the case of immediate danger.
